1. KDP Payment Glitch and Reddit Insights I recently stumbled upon a Reddit thread discussing a concerning issue: delayed payments for February royalties on KDP. It turns out that an internal glitch affected many publishers, myself included. After reaching out to KDP, they assured me that the glitch would be resolved, and payments should be coming in by the end of May.

2. Balancing Act: Ad Spend and Royalties Despite the hiccup with February royalties, I forged ahead with my self-publishing strategy. In April, I invested $2,075 in ads. However, I've realized the need to scale back on ad spending to align with my income, especially since my ad spend matched the expected royalty earnings for the month.

3. Earnings Overview and Growth April's hard work paid off, bringing in a total income of $5,563, with a standout day on April 19th, where I earned a remarkable $340. It's reassuring to see my account rebound after the challenges of a previous account suspension.

4. Setting Goals: Quality Books and Mid-Journey Looking ahead, I've set ambitious goals for the future. My primary focus is on publishing eight high-quality books. To streamline my creative process, I'll be utilizing Mid-Journey for each project, leveraging its commercial release and my comfort with its design tools.
